Soft tissue and bone regeneration
When the bone supporting your teeth has been damaged due to injury or periodontal disease, your periodontist may recommend a regenerative procedure in order to reverse some of the damage. During this procedure your periodontist will fold back the gum tissue and perform a deep cleaning to remove disease-causing bacteria. He or she will then apply a bone graft, membranes (filters) or tissue-stimulating protein in order to stimulate your body to regenerate the lost bone and tissue during the healing process.
A regenerative procedure helps by removing bacteria that cannot be reached by normal at-home care, reducing pocket depth and helping to restore the bone and tissue structures that protect and support the teeth.
Contact us today to find out if you’re a candidate for a regenerative procedure or to schedule an oral health consultation with Dr. Dehni. We’ll be happy to explain how we can help achieve a healthy, attractive smile.
