A periodontist can usually diagnose periodontal disease quite easily by examining the mouth for inflammation and/or pockets between the gums and the teeth. By measuring the depth of these pockets, your periodontist will determine the extent to which the disease has progressed. He or she may also take x-rays to detect the bone loss that can accompany periodontal disease.
Gum disease is easier to treat when it’s caught early. Contact us today to schedule a consultation with Dr. Dehni.
